Veronica Kendall

I am influenced by the decoration of Pre-Columbian and African art, in particular the geometric patterns of mud cloth from Mali and abstract textile designs from the Congo.

​

I use a muted colour palette of slips and glazes and various methods of mark making including wax and paper relief on my slab built stoneware vessels with an emphasis on texture.  Each piece is similar in design but no two are exactly the same.
